The day before we leave is always the buisiest by far, although the week before is too. We all hurried to get the last minute things ready and cases packed and the car (or should we say van!) loaded. Joe and Ike have taken charge of doing that and always do a very good job as it can be a bit tricky stacking everything. It is a bit like playing the game Tetris at times!
Mum and Jed are in charge of all the food but a lot of us enjoy helping out buttering, slicing, cutting, spreading etc. to make the pile of rolls. A family favourite is cheese and pickle rolls, along with Ham and Ketchup. Always with lots of fruit, salad and other goodies.
