MATCHING!

Hello everyone!

In case you haven't noticed over the course of reading this blog, Mum loves matching things!

Case of point...
Magdalene and Berea's shoes.

Liberty and Talitha with matching, socks, shoes, and skirts, and tops almost. You might not be able to see, but they have a flower each in their hair. Bonnie has purple and Talitha has hot pink.
Above: Berea and Magdalene...matching!

Above: JIM and Nat
Zac and Joe

Above: Magdalene and Berea with matching hats.
JED and Ike with matching coats

Liberty loves her matching wellies and umbrella.

In this photo Liberty, Talitha, and Magdalene have very similar style raincoats but with a different pattern each. Also Magdalene and Berea have the same wellie boots!
Sorry if the photo is a bit blurry, we cropped this one.

Keep your eyes peeled if your looking at any of the photos on this blog. You might find some of us... matching!

In Christ,

A Day With Friends

"How good and pleasant it is for brethren to dwell together in unity."
A Family photo at Sutton Hoo.
I don't know why Liberty was pulling the funny face!

Hello!
A few weeks ago we spent the day with some of our friends at Sutton Hoo. Despite dodging the rainy showers we all had a good day!
Then just last week or so they had invited us to their house for dinner. We went to the park and then came back later for a lovely meal they had prepared for us. Thank you all so much for another great day!
Sadly Rhiannon was not able to come with us as she was still in Holland at the time. She had a lovely time by the way! And got home safe and sound. We all surprised her when we picked her up at the Air Port coming home, which she really liked. Thinking about it now, I just might have to do another post with some photos that she took in Holland.  The second Wedding went really well too, no more details though! You'll just have to wait for the new post!

We are all in this photo apart from Rhiannon.

Mum's Crazy but Fun Rules

Here is a list of some Rules that Mum has made up along the way. Some we do and others we have no idea where she gets them from!

1. Chewing gum when you're seven.

2. Eye-shadow when you're thirteen.

3. Lipstick and Lip-gloss have got earlier and earlier, it's now three!

4. MACSCARA WHEN YOU'RE SIXTEEN.

5. Bubble Gum when you're ten.

6. Girls only may get their ears pierced at fourteen.

7. Alcoholic beverages. Hmmmmmm! Depends on the situation. A little glass of wine maybe for some of us but as for cans of beer and lager, Mum doesn't like them.

8. Tattoos when you're eighty or when Mum turns eighty!

9. No Motorbikes until your fifty - five!

10. Driving seventeen to eighteen.

11. Mobile phones when you need one.

12. STAYING UP LATE? WHEN YOU CAN GET UP EARLY AGAIN THE NEXT MORNING!

13. Hands behind your back if you are waiting to speak to somebody and hands held in front if you are asking to use the bathroom.

14. For regular coffee or tea drinks you must be thirteen.

15. When you are told to do something by someone who is thirteen or older, you must reply 'Yes Sir', or 'Yes Ma'am.'

16. If you argue you must sit on the bottom stair until you are friends again. This rule applies until you leave home.

17. A lovely family came to have dinner with us and after their meal they said "Excuse me Mrs. Shepherd, thank you for my meal, please may I be excused from the table." Mum thought it was wonderful and it's now on her list of rules.

18. Smoking is only allowed on production of your death certificate.

19. Bad language is a 100p fine per word.

There you go! This list is actually a lot longer, but here are the ones I thought you'd like to see.

GOD BLESS,

Charis

St. George's Day at Wrest Park

Some of us guys enjoying the show
A few weeks ago Joe and Zac went to an event at Wrest Park....and were going to be away for the whole weekend. They left on the Friday and on the Saturday we all decided to go and suprise them! So we packed up a big lunch and got everything together to leave around 8:00am the following morning. The drive there went fine up until we ended up putting the GPS on for the last part of the journey. Dad doesn't like doing this and tries to avoid them wherever he can*. It took us down into a village for no reason and led us down onto some strange country roads until we finally arrived...an hour later than we should've been! *case of point!

Zac and Joe's trading tent
But anyway Zac and Joe were both very pleased to see us and we all had a great day enjoying the displays. Have a guess who we saw there too...George Clarkson!(Channel 4) Not only that, but he bought a sword from Joe too. How cool is that?!

The displays were all very good and we learn't a few things about Horse Riding Side Saddle and I think everyone enjoyed the jousting too, and the main event 'George and the Dragon.'

After having a lovely day we had to get home, and Joe and Zac arrived back home a bit later on in the evening. One thing that our family has realized over the years is that we do 'crazy'...quite well!
Check this out for a little bit of history of St. George! http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Saint_George's_Day

Hope to hear from you soon!
