Making of 'Looking to Eternity' Feature Film

Arriving on set
Back in January 2016 Zac, Magdalene and I went to our first movie audition for a feature film being made in our area. Dan Lawrence had been writing and editing the script for some time and wanted it to be a film made by the young people in Norfolk. We were delighted when we received an email saying we had each got a role to play in the film! So we began reading the call sheets and memorising the script.

In February we went to our first week of training where a professional film crew came and taught us all. We were divided into the departments of our choice -camera work, lighting, sound, directing, acting- and they taught each group individually. After training and doing some test scenes we were each given our roles in the film crew. Zac was part of the camera team and became Camera A assistant. I was totally surprised when I found out that I had been given First Assistant Director! Magdalene was part of the lighting team. We were all set and ready and really excited to go for the first day of filming.
On our way to the audition. We got the part!
We worked on the movie throughout the year doing scenes in blocks over the course of February, April and our final scenes in June. We filmed the entire movie in just seven full days!
During the summer Dan, (writer and director of LTE) who had been diagnosed with cancer began to become more ill and wasn't able to attend some of the filming days. So Ben (his twin brother) and I took his place on those days.

I was also invited to help with the final process of the film. I ended up being a big part of the editing team which I throughly enjoyed even though it was long, slow work.

The film was later released in November.
