Rhiannon's America Trip - Montana Photos

On Christmas Eve, I was grateful to have a nice easy day at home, packing for my next leg. I got washing done and my camera emptied and check my flights. All was good to go, or so it seemed.

I rang ahead to the Robert's house in MT, to confirm my arrival time. JoAnn said that they were praying for my flight not to be cancelled as it appeared a lot of flights coming out of Denver were being cut as a big snow storm was heading over! Yikes! I got off the phone to check the weather and sure enough a huge cell had developed. There's was nothing any of us could have done, except pray that it wouldn't be cancelled and things would still run smoothly.

December 25th dawned.  Laurie and I were awake at 4.45am to make it to Austin airport for 5.15am. isn't my friend lovely? She got up this early on Christmas Morning when there was nothing in it for her!

I boarded without hassle and flew to Denver, Colorado. It was the first time for me to have been back in Colorado or to see the amazing, unusual outline of Denver airport since being there when I was 9, Wow! You can imagine what was going through my mind when we landed.

The next part was trickier, navigate a  huge airport to find my next gate to get to Kalispell. My plane this time was a tiny little one and due to the weather we experienced  a fair amount of turbulence. Fun!

I finally arrived in Kalispell and was welcomed with open arms by Krista, JoAnn and Thom Roberts. It felt like coming home! The rest for the day was spent catching up with all the family, eating a wonderful Roast Lamb dinner and fellowshipping.

On Friday, Thom took Krista and I up to Glacier National Park! What an amazing place! The scenery just simply takes your breath away. I have never seen anything like it. I'll let the photos do the talking!

We spent the afternoon in the most lovely of fashions, a high tea! Proper tea, home-made scones, cream, the finest jam, and beautiful tea sets! I loved it! Thank you everyone!
