The A.R.K Game

Here is a game that we like to play as a family that everyone seems to enjoy. You're probably wondering why it has a bit of a strange name but 'A.R.K' stands for 'Acts of Random Kindness' and we named it that after watching one of our families favourite movies 'Evan Almighty'. Another name you could call it would be 'The Blessing Game'. Here's how it goes...

you wIll need

1.) One piece of paper
2.) Some scissors
3.) And of course pencil

1.) Get the piece of paper, lined works better that way you don't have to make the grid lines.

2.) Write down all of your family members names' who can play. (Either two or three years old and up. They will need a helper though.) If you have an uneven amount of people it won't work that easily so try and work out who plays so that it does work and is even.

3.) Cut out all the names neatly making sure that all the names on the strips are the same length however long the name is so that you won't know whose name is on each one.

4.) Fold or roll the pieces of paper up, and place all of the folded names in a hat, bowl, or cup, etc. and swish them around so you don't know whose name is where.

5.) Then pass the hat or whatever you chose around making sure that everyone who can play gets a name each. If you want to make it even harder you could have two names each. Again make sure the amount of people to names is even!

6.) Once you have opened your piece of paper DO NOT tell anyone the name you picked out, because at the end of the week we all have a get together and guess who had who.

7.) The name you got is the person you must 'bless' (as secretly as possible!) for that week without making it too obvious for everyone else to guess who you have. Depending on the age of the person you have, depends on how you bless them. Some ideas are...make their bed, put notes in their packed lunch, help with their chores, treat them to something nice, make them a drink, etc.

8.) Now let the game begin and Bless away!

Hope this is a blessing to your family!

Have fun!

REMEMBER: It's all about the above...
