The March birthdays

We only have two birthday's in March,  Rhiannon's on the 2nd and Zac's on the 19th. We're not really big on birthdays but we do have a family day-out and everyone seems to enjoy it that way. Another thing that we do, do is a silly hat tea, and that is where you can come to the table provided that you are wearing a silly hat. Like so...
Lots of cakes and goodies only these are shop bought

Berea: "Can I have one of those donuts...please?"

Magdalene wearing her silly hat...

Closely followed by Nat

I did a different haristyle in Bonnie's hair.

It was two pony-tails separated with a zig-zag parting, both going together with a twist into a plait. Interesting?

And let the party commence!

Poor Talitha, got her face scraped by a branch building a shelter.....post of the shelter to follow! She is still smiling happily though, being her 'brazilian' self! Click here! to see her interview for more info!

Yes, that is Dad wearing that bright yellow hat!
To the right: Zac drawing which he is now getting very good at, and myself just being pretty!
The day-out and Zac's birthday should be coming out very soon so stay tuned for those!

That evening we did her presents and she really liked all of them...including Zac's little masterpiece which he himself was quite happy with!

We'll have more up soon!

GOD BLESS YOU ALL!

Camp Shelters

Anyone fancy a cup of pine needle tea, by a camp fire in one of these shelters that the boys have had fun making? Just a few weeks back they started the camp and I think they are just about done now. As we said in a previous post, Talitha had a branch scratch her face when making them, accidentally.  It's all healed up now though thankfully.

ZAC. Pretending he's Bear Grylls!

Our snow has finally melted now and we're hoping it's the last of it!

Be back soon!

Recent Baking part two

Hello!

Here are the photos of my 'Tangy Lemon Squares' . It may not look the best thing in the world but it sure tasted great!

Talitha was very proud of herself, she made a cake pretty much all by herself!

These are the scones that Rhiannon made on her 22nd birthday. I'll have a post of that up soon! We had them with really nice raspberry jam and whipped double cream which made up for it!

And then my most recent backing adventure...Lemon Drizzle Bites. I followed the recipe fine and turned the 'bites' into cupcakes, but then put my own little spin on the 'bites' and created my own recipe! Mum again really enjoyed these and said that you couldn't perfect them anymore and she just couldn't stop saying "Oh, Charis. These are so good!" with her mouth full! I must say, they were something special and I don't know whether I could get them the same again.

Mum said even Mary Berry would have said 10 out of 10

Then Dad made some banana splits with the younger guys. They had a great time making them and and even better time eating them!

Let us know how well you are doing in the kitchen and have a look at this blog that JED has started. www.jacobandjamie.blogspot.co.uk  It's only been up for a month and a bit now and it has got 640 views and counting. Feel free to leave comments and subscribe, send in your own recipes and much more!

See you again soon!

P.S. Here are two other cakes that we made, but I forgot to mention! My Coconut cake and Rhiannon and Magdalene's cookies!

Family Interviews: Talitha

Talitha
I didn't take the photo this time. Joe did.
Age: 10
Full name:
Talitha Saffron Joy

1. What is your favourite colour?
Light pink, because it's a very pretty colour and it's girly.

2. What are some of your favourite things to do?
I do like playing with toy babies because I would like to be a Midwife when I'm older, and also Mum sometimes calls me the 'Puzzle Queen' because I'm good at puzzles. Sometimes when I feel like it I like horse riding and painting.

3. How is it your 'Brazilian' ?
Well, my brother JED said I was 'resilient' because I was very brave once, and then Liberty and JIM said "You're not Brazilian!" So now every time I'm brave they call me Brazilian but really it's resilient.

I like small pony's now I've finished reading the book 'Katy's Ex-moor'  and little baby birds are very cute.

7. If you could go back in time, when and where would you like to go?
I would like to go back into posh times with pretty dresses and ride in carriages with horses. And the fact that you have big posh houses and maids and do whatever you like whenever you like. And also I would love to walk in parks that you see in different T.V. series and movies.

8. What is your favourite movie?
I did enjoy the Cranford T.V. series although I haven't quite finished it yet. I like 'Leap Year' and Pride and Prejudice too.

9. What music do you like to listen to?
I do like Daddy's songs, but also I enjoy Matt Redman, Chris Tomlin, Paul Baloche, Evermore,
Boyce Avenue's cover of 'Wherever you will go' by The Calling and 'Lego House' by Ed Sheeran( and Jed's version.) And also I do like Mathew West's music too.

Spring, spring, Snow!

Hi everyone!

It looks like spring has now arrived here and the weather has finally brightened up a bit! It's actually feeling warm for once.

Mum was happy. She got her first load of washing on the line this year!

Our first spring flowers are now out, and the boys have been busy building a little camp-site making the most of the sunshine. We're really looking forward to the summer, Magdalene is for sure. They were all playing in the garden the other day and she asked if we could have a water fight!

Our New Van!

Hi everyone,

Just the other week Dad had said that we really needed a new van, and a couple days after that (on Tuesday I think...) we went to see one. And bought it! Not only was it just big enough for us all, but it was the exact van that Dad really wanted but of course didn't think we'd get it. We picked it up on the following Friday and have really enjoyed every ride in it so far. Isn't God soooo good!
O.K. So who wants to sit where....

It was kind of sad though to see the other van go because that has been our faithful family van for seven and a bit years now. The only van that Nathanael downwards has ever known to be ours. But everyone is really happy with it, and look forward to all the trips we'll be doing in it.

And since we are on the subject of automobiles, I've written a list of all our favourite cars!

Dad: A midnight blue Corvette Stingray, Mark II

Mum: Metallic silver or navy blue Mercedes Estate 220 CDI

Tom: A Lotus Elise

Joe: Aston Martin or a metallic light blue BMW Z3
1995-007-BMW-Z3

Rhiannon: A gun metal grey Mazda, no pop-up headlights...or a black range rover

JED: A Porsche 911 GT3 Rs...in green

Ike: A blue and white VW Camper van 1966 Deluxe edition

Zac: Toyota Celica in blue or a Lamborghini Gallardo

Charis: A pink smart car or a cream VW beetle with light pink flowers

JIM: An Acura NSX

Liberty: Horse and Carriage or a dark purple and gold Jaguar

Talitha: A pink Mini Cooper

Nathanael: Orange Lamborghini Aventador

Magdalene: Pink Ferrari

Berea: A bright pink VW beetle with eye lashes on the headlights! How girly can you get a car?!

Aaron: Our yellow and red play bubble car!

And there you go, a little something extra that you now know about all of us!

God Bless,

Charis
